Do you love Dakota’s butt kicking Volturi vampire character Jane?

She has some killer smokey eyes, literally! Norma Hill-Patton, the makeup designer for New Moon gives us tips on how we can look just as fierce.

1 Less is more: “Be sparing with dark colors – it’s easier to add more than to remove it.”
2 Prevent a mess: “Hold a tissue under your eye to catch any falling shadow.”
3 Even it out: “Blend the colors together well around the eye with a soft brush.”
4 Make eyes pop: “Rim the inside of the upper and lower lids with a black pencil.”

Norma used individual false black lashes to Dakota’s eyes. To get a similar look without falsies, Norma says to “hold a mirror below your chin and look down into it while you apply mascara. This gives you a sweeping look to the lashes without getting any mascara on the lids.”
