Want to know how Taylor went from red carpet updo to rocker?
Her hair stylist for the Country Music Awards, Jemma Muradian tells us how she did it for Taylor and how you can do it too.
“We decided on both looks beforehand. She loved them,” says Jemma, who spent about an hour on Taylor’s red carpet do. So, what was Taylor’s mood like while she was getting ready? “She had no idea she was going to win so it was a really exciting night,” Jemma shares.
To get her updo:
- “I wrapped strands of her hair around a 1 inch curling iron starting about 2 inches away from her scalp all the way down to the ends.”
- “I loosened up all the curls by shaking her hair upside down and gently brushing them out with my fingers.”
- “Then, I separated her hair into three sections. I rolled the back section up underneath itself like rolling a piece of paper to create a faux bob. Then, I used a large bobby pin to secure it. I did the same thing on the both sides after that and sprayed it all with hairspray.”
To get her performance hair:
“I just took out the pins, shook out her hair and refreshed her curls a little by recurling some sections.” – Marta Topran
