Fresh off her interview with Diane Sawyer, where she spilled all on her tumultuous relationship with Chris Brown, superstar Rihanna walked the carpet at Glamour Magazine’s “Glamour Women of the Year” awards November 9 at Carnegie Hall.
And the much-talked-about songstress sure knows how to make an entrance! Honored as the Woman of the Year, Rihanna showed up just in time to accept her award …
While stars like Iman, Steven Tyler, Gayle King, Katharine McPhee, and Amy Poehler walked the red carpet before the 7:00 pm awards, Rihanna kept photographers and reporters waiting on the carpet for her arrival until 7:30.
Well, Rihanna, you did miss half the show — but you made up for it in style. Looking gorgeous in a Stéphane Rolland gown, the songtress said Glamour is “all about beauty, style, grace, poise, and confidence.”
Rihanna also confessed she had to “reach to find emotions and personal things to say ” while making her album on the heels of being abused. “It was very difficult.”
Inside, Bill Clinton, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Lorne Michaels, and Katie Couric presented awards to Maya Angelou, Laura Ling and Euna Lee, and Maria Shriver.
